Buying Out The Neighborhood

Big buyouts at hotels and event venues for corporate destination meetings have been historically an ideal way to engage large numbers of guests in one central location. However, with the ever-increasing desire for bespoke local experiences, the concept of a buyout might put limitations on organizing such activities.

The Shackman solution? Expand the buyout through the surrounding neighborhood! NYC's chicest boutique hotels are of course located in trendy neighborhoods, making it a natural step to incorporate the local vibe into the meeting or event.

Brooklyn, the city's hottest up-and-coming borough, is a perfect example of this concept. Buyout one or more hotel and unique event venues such as a local brewery or distillery and then incorporate team-building activities like axe-throwing - there's no better way to have guests feeling like a local at home in the destination.
